What you will do

• Conduct developmental flight tests for cargo and fixed-wing platforms.
• Serve as a flight test engineer crewmember and monitor in-flight activities through real-time telemetry systems.
• Prepare test plans, test readiness reviews, safety reviews, and other pre-test documentation.
• Define effective test methods and perform detailed engineering data reduction and analysis.
• Write comprehensive test reports and present results to colleagues, military and civilian personnel, and government representatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school; aerospace, mechanical, or industrial/systems engineering is preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience performing engineering duties related to aircraft or aviation-system design, construction, testing, or research.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA Class III medical certificate.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of aircraft systems such as flight controls, displays, radar, and communications/navigation systems.
• Flight test and evaluation experience with rotary-wing or fixed-wing aircraft.
• Competency with Microsoft Office, Matlab, Python, and technical writing.
