Treaty Underwriting Coordinator (Reinsurance)

What you will do

• Coordinate day-to-day operations for an assigned Property & Casualty reinsurance portfolio segment.
• Verify treaty contract terms against deal parameters and internal guidelines.
• Track deal lifecycle milestones, coordinate handoffs, and enter contractual information into business systems.
• Analyze submissions and treaty exposure data, investigate discrepancies, and report material year-over-year changes.
• Maintain costing tools and support portfolio overviews and data-driven underwriting decisions.
• Communicate with clients, clarify data queries, follow up on outstanding items, and potentially support negotiations.

Requirements

• University degree in natural science or a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Actuarial Sciences.
• At least three years of experience in the Property & Casualty reinsurance or insurance industry.
• Strong data expertise and practical experience working with large data files, including modelling data.
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills and competence with Power BI, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause investigation and clear communication of findings.
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and collaborate across functions, time zones, and cultures.

Nice to have

• Previous data modelling or underwriting experience.
• Familiarity with reinsurance systems for deal entry, exposure tracking, or portfolio reporting.
• Experience working in geographically dispersed teams.
