What you will do
- Analyze financial, industry, regulatory, and economic information to assess insurance risk and profitability.
- Prepare CPI account forecasts and analyze trends to support pricing and underwriting recommendations.
- Develop rates for prospective clients and recommend rate, commission, coverage, and portfolio changes for active accounts.
- Maintain knowledge of CPI rules, rates, and forms, and support compliance filings and account documentation.
- Create option forms, build quotes, prepare management reports, and support business development before delivery.
- Train and advise business development and client engagement associates on CPI products and underwriting options.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in underwriting, accounting, finance, data analysis, or a related field.
- Knowledge of underwriting criteria and premium computations, with experience using spreadsheets and statistical software to analyze financial data and develop forecasts.
- Ability to make accurate underwriting decisions independently, analyze risk, and work autonomously.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with good communication skills.
- US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
