Underwriter - State National (Insurance)

What you will do

• Analyze financial, industry, regulatory, and economic information to assess insurance risk and profitability.
• Prepare forecasts and analyze CPI account trends to support rate changes, new-business pricing, and account underwriting.
• Review client history, commissions, coverage, and underwriting requests; recommend rate, commission, and coverage adjustments.
• Maintain knowledge of CPI rules, rates, and forms and support compliance filing priorities.
• Create option forms, build quotes, prepare management reports, and assist business development with pre-delivery activities.
• Support training for business development and client engagement associates on insurance products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, data analysis, underwriting, or a related field recommended.
• Detailed knowledge of underwriting criteria and premium computations, with experience using spreadsheets and statistical software to analyze financial data and develop forecasts.
• Ability to independently analyze risk, make accurate underwriting decisions, and work autonomously.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with strong communication skills.
• US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
