Lead IT Facility Specialist (Data Center)

Location: On-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, five days per week at the Cedar Rapids Data Centre. Travel to disaster recovery sites and satellite locations may be required, including occasional overnight travel.

Salary: $95,000–$121,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead data center operations and provide technical leadership, mentoring, and escalation support for technicians, contractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate daily operations, incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, recovery, change management, compliance, and service reliability.
• Manage installation, upgrades, relocations, decommissioning, documentation, asset inventories, equipment lifecycles, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Lead the design, installation, maintenance, and documentation of structured cabling systems.
• Monitor and maintain critical electrical and facility systems, including utility power, switchgear, ATS, UPS, generators, PDUs, cooling, and environmental monitoring.
• Oversee vendors, budgets, capacity planning, operational improvements, audit support, security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related work experience.
• Solid understanding of data center management methodologies and IT infrastructure’s impact on business services.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong planning, prioritization, written communication, verbal communication, and listening skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP).
• Schneider Electric Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA).
• Certified Data Centre Specialist (CDCS).
