Tier 3 Network Operations Technician (AI)

Location: Must be based in River Bend, LA (On-site)

Salary: $140,000 – $200,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Serve as the on-site Tier 3 escalation point for network and structured-cabling incidents.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve physical-layer faults and validate repairs.
• Partner with Network Operations on deeper investigations and act as an escalation path for Tier 1 and 2 technicians.
• Own structured cabling and fiber infrastructure, ensuring connectivity through device-level diagnostics.
• Document incidents rigorously to ensure seamless handoffs to the Network Operations team.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the United States.
• Proven experience as an on-site network or cable-plant specialist in a data center environment.
• Deep knowledge of structured cabling and fiber (testing, termination, fault isolation).
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals including TCP/IP, switching, and optics.
• Ability to read device diagnostics to validate physical repairs.
• Experience operating as a sole escalation resource and taking incidents to resolution.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-density AI or hyperscale fabrics.
• Fiber certification (BICSI, Fluke).
• Knowledge of optical transport, InfiniBand, or high-speed Ethernet.
