Jr. Critical Infrastructure Engineer (Data Center)

Location: On-site in Ashburn, VA, United States

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, plus a full benefits package.

What you will do

• Monitor maintenance methods, standards, and operating procedures for facility equipment.
• Support daily operations of power, HVAC, life safety, and other critical infrastructure systems.
• Plan customer space, power, and cooling solutions with the Chief Engineer.
• Provide technical support for customer installations and integrations.
• Maintain facility and compliance reports and track operational solutions.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with operations management, vendors, and stakeholders to protect 100% uptime.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of facility operations experience in data centers, telecommunications, or similar mission-critical environments.
• Foundational knowledge of UPS, generators, mechanical systems, and fire safety systems.
• Understanding of building automation, energy management, and mechanical and electrical control systems.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, high-availability 24/7/365 environments, including emergency response and vendor coordination.
• Familiarity with maintenance management and ticketing software, plus proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
