New Product Sourcing Specialist - Purchasing (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage material-related project activities for new product introduction, including RFQs, tooling, PPAP, transfers, and supplier deliverables.
• Analyze supplier quotations using total cost of ownership and should-cost tools, negotiate part and tooling costs, and manage project timelines.
• Maintain costed bills of material, standard costs, project updates, risk mitigation plans, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Manage supplier on-time delivery, PPAP orders, part release status, engineering changes, and sustaining or end-of-life product updates.
• Coordinate the transfer of approved parts to production buyers and support tactical purchasing activities such as expediting materials and resolving purchase order issues.
• Conduct supplier design reviews, support new supplier sourcing, and act as an SAP super user within the assigned functional area.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or four years of related supply chain experience.
• Experience with engineering change processes and new product development cycles.
• Strong project management, communication, organization, interpersonal, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to manage shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Regular standing, walking, computer-based work, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
• Understanding of inventory management requirements.
• Experience in new product development.
