LPN/RN - Endocrine Clinic (Endocrinology)

Location: Lawrence Memorial Hospital – Endocrine Clinic, 170 Governors Ave, Suite 200, 2nd Floor, Medford, MA 02155. Onsite schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with flexibility during office hours.

Salary: $30.00–$33.59 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Provide outpatient nursing care for patients in endocrinology and diabetes care.
• Implement nursing care plans, interventions, medication administration, and clinical procedures under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Deliver direct patient care while maintaining patient safety, dignity, and continuity of care.
• Assess pain, monitor patient responses, document interventions, and report changes in condition to the registered nurse or appropriate clinical staff.
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, activities of daily living, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and the wider healthcare team while participating in performance improvement activities.

Requirements

• Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Experience requirements depend on unit needs.
• Knowledge of the nursing process, pharmacology, medication administration, age-specific care, and patient education.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to stand and walk extensively, transfer patients and equipment, and work with hazardous materials, infectious substances, and unpredictable or emergency situations.

Nice to have

• IV therapy and infusion experience.
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
