Medication Nurse - LPN

Location: On-site in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, USA

Salary: $28.00–$32.00 per hour

What you will do

• Administer methadone as prescribed and monitor patients after medication administration.
• Screen and assess new and existing patients to support treatment decisions.
• Collect and document urine specimens, monitor lab work and physicals, and maintain accurate dosing records.
• Manage medication and medical supply inventory in accordance with DEA regulations.
• Prepare courtesy and vacation dose packages and support continuity of care.
• Collaborate with counselors, nurses, and the broader care team while helping onboard new nursing staff.

Requirements

• Active LPN or RN license in the state of Michigan required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work on site from 5:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus every third Saturday.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment involving prolonged standing, bending, keyboarding, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Ability to use appropriate personal protective equipment when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Knowledge of medication dispensing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, breathalyzers, and other clinical devices.
• Strong data entry, computer, critical thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records and standard office equipment.
