Senior Engineer - Pressure Systems

Location: Gonzales, Louisiana, United States; onsite with approximately 35% travel throughout the Gulf Coast of North America

What you will do

• Provide mechanical engineering support for fixed equipment during planned and unplanned outages, including preparing work scopes and leading execution.
• Develop and lead repairs or alterations for coded vessels and fixed equipment, including boilers, piping, tanks, and heat exchangers.
• Perform engineering design calculations and coordinate with the Global Engineering Organization and third-party engineering contractors.
• Investigate pressure systems failures and implement recommendations.
• Support the Global Mechanical Integrity Program and Management of Change processes.
• Develop safe and technically acceptable solutions aligned with the profitability of the HYCO Americas business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience designing or maintaining vessels, tanks, piping, and fixed equipment associated with steam systems.
• Experience with fixed equipment for SMR and HYCO plants, including high-temperature insulation and refractory systems.
• Knowledge of statutory and regulatory inspection requirements and inspection or test procedures for vessels, tanks, piping, and heat exchangers.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to travel approximately 35% are required.

Nice to have

• ASME and API pressure vessel and piping inspection and design knowledge.
