Application Engineer (Valves)

Location: The Woodlands, Texas, United States. The role may require up to 20% travel on company business.

Crane is a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products, including aerospace, electronics, fluid handling, and valve solutions.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for Pacific Valves products, including pressure seal, bolted bonnet, wedge plug, and HF GGC valves.
• Define focus applications with Sales and Engineering and recommend suitable product alternatives.
• Manage the opportunity funnel in Salesforce and support opportunities through the sales cycle.
• Assist with complex bids by reviewing customer specifications, preparing exceptions, and aligning pricing details.
• Coordinate special projects and provide customers with accurate progress updates through deployment.
• Deliver technical training and support market planning, process improvement, and customer feedback initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, research, or engineering project experience in industrial equipment, valves, flow control, or process industries.
