Production Technician (Industrial Gases)

Location: Pixley, California, United States; onsite plant-based role

Salary: $28–$30 per hour, plus a 4% annual bonus

What you will do

• Operate and control equipment used in air separation, vacuum swing absorption, and carbon dioxide plants.
• Maintain plant mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
• Perform operator rounds, water sampling, truck loading, and operations preventive maintenance.
• Identify maintenance needs and enter work orders into Maximo.
• Follow operating procedures and safety requirements, including permits, energy isolation, lockout/tagout, confined-space entry, hot work, and plant inspections.
• Support plant start-ups, training, leave coverage, contractor compliance, and accurate operational documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read flow charts, process piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and simple schematics.
• Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and one-person shifts as required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use computers and Google office software.
• Ability to wear required PPE, lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, work on elevated platforms, enter confined spaces, and work in non-conditioned environments.
• Ability to remain onsite during abnormal weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Technical associate degree or at least three years of technical training or operations experience.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, rotating equipment, piping systems, and applicable EPA, FDA, state, and local regulations.
• Qualification to operate forklifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes.
