What you will do

• Co-teach in an engaging, playful Pre-K classroom that promotes curiosity, mastery, exploration, and purposeful play.
• Teach literacy, phonics, language development, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
• Facilitate free-choice centers and small-group instruction with lead and apprentice teachers.
• Analyze student work and assessment data, differentiate instruction, and adjust daily teaching strategies.
• Build a positive classroom culture, support behavior interventions, supervise students, and maintain accurate records.
• Partner with families and teaching teams while supporting school operations, events, transitions, and dismissal.

Requirements

• Commitment to students’ social-emotional and academic development.
• Interest in working with K-12 students in urban schools and communities; 1–2 years of experience is preferred.
• Academic expertise in Elementary Education, Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required before employment begins.
• Must meet New Jersey state certification eligibility requirements, including the applicable cumulative GPA requirement.
• New Jersey certification is required within a reasonable period after starting employment.
