Director of Instructional Systems

Location: Houston, TX, USA; onsite Monday–Friday at a school or central office site, with frequent travel between campuses, regional offices, and other work locations across Texas.

Salary: USD 97,500–105,000 yearly

What you will do

• Design and maintain instructional data systems, including assessment trackers, progress monitoring tools, reporting structures, and dashboards.
• Translate academic priorities into workflows, templates, expectations, and scalable instructional routines.
• Lead the rollout and day-to-day execution of assessment practices, data routines, progress monitoring cycles, CTMs, practice clinics, and professional development structures.
• Model, co-facilitate, and coach School Leadership Teams in analyzing data and translating insights into improved teaching and learning.
• Monitor implementation consistency, data accuracy, and system effectiveness across schools and regions.
• Partner with the Managing Director of Instructional Systems to refine systems, address implementation risks, and improve usability and impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in education, instructional leadership, data, or systems-related roles; previous principal experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with data-driven instruction, assessment design, and progress monitoring systems.
• Experience building or implementing systems that affect student outcomes and supporting school leaders or instructional teams.
• Strong systems thinking, data analysis, project management, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Reliable transportation and availability for frequent travel between campuses and regions are required.
