Production Shift Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at Charter Casting, 1800 W Lake Shore Dr, Woodstock, Illinois 60098, United States. Third shift, Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Annual hiring range: $90,200–$112,700.

What you will do

• Lead third-shift finishing operations and supervise production employees.
• Manage daily manufacturing activities to meet production, quality, efficiency, and waste-reduction goals.
• Coach, mentor, develop, and evaluate employees while identifying training needs.
• Promote safety, accountability, teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety management systems.
• Collaborate with production management, engineering, quality, and support departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in a related manufacturing or industrial environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience, either formal or informal.
• Strong prioritization, delegation, coaching, feedback, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across business levels.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, metallurgy, or a related field.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency and experience reporting operational data.
