Production Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Morganton, North Carolina, United States. The role requires working 12-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; no travel is anticipated.

What you will do

• Coordinate resources and assign work for production areas to meet scheduled output, safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Monitor material consumption, replacement needs, changeover readiness, material identification, and production transactions.
• Support bill of material and work-in-process inventory accuracy.
• Monitor equipment performance, report malfunctions to technical staff, and assist production lines with order completion.
• Communicate priorities, concerns, changes, and problems with employees, supervisors, managers, and related departments.
• Support employee training, root cause analyses, 8D activities, and a positive team environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Verbal and written English communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, manage multiple priorities, and educate team members on procedures.
• Ability to perform physical production duties, including standing, walking, climbing, reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling, and lift up to 40 pounds.
