Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Grand Prairie, Texas, United States; onsite at the plant. Third shift follows a 2-2-3 schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

What you will do

• Supervise plant-floor operations, verify raw-material and silo levels, review production schedules, and ensure employees have the required tools, work orders, and PPE.
• Lead shift meetings, prepare materials for the next shift, and communicate productivity, downtime, and quality concerns in shift reports.
• Monitor formulas, raw-material expiration dates, product quality, and QC sampling; adjust batches based on QC results when required.
• Coordinate equipment and material issues with maintenance and escalate shortages, failures, and repair needs.
• Allocate work, approve timecards and time-off requests, train new team members, and act as supervisor when required.
• Manage performance, safety and compliance training, employee relations, team development, and cross-functional communication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of plant experience.
• Proficiency with plant equipment or equivalent work experience, Microsoft Office applications, and an ERP system, preferably JD Edwards.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for formulas and weights, interpret directions and order details, and communicate in writing and verbally.
• Ability to learn new computer skills and programs.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and perform the required standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, climbing, and crawling.
• An associate degree is preferred; Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
