Information Technology Specialist II

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States. Full-time onsite role with minimal travel to jobsites and regional offices; extended hours, weekends, and occasional overnight stays may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support and escalation response across company locations.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving endpoints, identity, collaboration tools, networking, and business applications.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, access points, Wi-Fi, VLANs, and related network equipment.
• Set up technology for jobsites and regional offices, including internet connectivity, printers, phones, cabling, webcams, and network infrastructure.
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding, hardware configuration, inventory records, service documentation, cybersecurity policy compliance, and junior specialist mentoring.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer information systems, or a related field, or comparable experience and/or IT certifications.
• 3–5 years of experience in a related IT field.
• Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Networking configuration and troubleshooting experience with firewalls, switches, and access points, plus strong Windows 10/11 support skills.
• U.S. work authorization is required, and employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of IT experience.
• CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft SC-900, AZ-900, or other industry certifications.
• Additional technical training and Microsoft certifications.
