Systems Administrator (Windows/Linux)

Location: 100% onsite in Lexington, Massachusetts; must live within 100 miles of Lexington

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, and enhance a secure air-gapped computing environment.
• Deploy and support Windows and Red Hat Linux workstations, physical servers, and virtual servers.
• Maintain compliance through patching, STIG/SCAP hardening, and secure configuration.
• Troubleshoot performance, hardware, software, and networking issues and recommend upgrades.
• Manage backups, recoveries, licenses, user accounts, password resets, and account unlocks.
• Collaborate on procurements, installations, upgrades, automation, infrastructure planning, and technology refresh initiatives.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and US citizenship required.
• Must work onsite and live within 100 miles of Lexington, Massachusetts.
• At least 4 years of systems administration experience in a classified or highly secure environment.
• Experience supporting and securing Windows and Linux systems, including imaging, disk encryption, and endpoint management.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, networking fundamentals, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Security+ certification, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of employment; strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with VMware, vCenter, and Cisco network equipment.
• Automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Familiarity with RMF, JSIG, ICD-503, CNSSI 1253, DISA STIGs, and SRGs.
• Background in mission-critical environments.
