Associate General Counsel (AI & Privacy)

Location: United States (Remote); candidates must be located in the United States

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year, commensurate with experience

What you will do

• Serve as the primary legal partner for Sales and Customer Success, drafting and negotiating MSAs, order forms, change orders, DPAs, and privacy agreements.
• Build contract playbooks, standard positions, fallback frameworks, templates, and self-service legal resources.
• Own contract lifecycle management, including workflows, approval routing, automation, template management, and reporting.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Regulatory Affairs on AI governance, data handling, customer representations, and contractual AI frameworks.
• Advise teams across the organization on commercial, privacy, healthcare-data, and operational legal issues.
• Track legal developments, contract metrics, and operational priorities while strengthening the legal function as the company scales.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4–10 years of transactional legal experience focused on commercial contracting.
• Experience implementing or significantly improving CLM infrastructure, contract playbooks, and scalable legal workflows.
• Working knowledge of privacy law and healthcare-data frameworks, including HIPAA.
• Experience negotiating sophisticated enterprise agreements involving multiple parties, data processing, or AI-powered services.
• Business-oriented judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to support a high-growth technology company.
