New Mexico Workers' Compensation Adjuster (Remote in NM)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must live in New Mexico and hold a New Mexico adjuster license.

Salary: $85,000–$92,000 per year

What you will do

• Investigate workers' compensation claims, interview employees, employers, and witnesses, and obtain medical, police, hospital, and physician records.
• Determine insurance coverage, compensability, and appropriate action plans for timely claim resolution.
• Prepare accurate investigation reports and recommendations for clients and carriers.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and their attorneys while managing litigation activities and costs.
• Complete EDI and CMS/Section 111 reporting and coordinate with preferred vendors.
• Handle catastrophic losses, complex litigation, sensitive issues, licensing requirements, and knowledge-sharing with colleagues.

Requirements

• Must live in New Mexico and hold a New Mexico adjuster license.
• 5–7 years of experience handling workers' compensation claims.
• Thorough knowledge of claims investigation, adjustment principles, and related practices.
• Extensive knowledge of medical and legal terminology, legal principles, and litigation management.
• Ability to conduct multi-party investigations, prepare factual reports, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information.
• Ability to understand multi-state laws and regulations and use relevant software applications.
