Shift Stationary Engineer

Location: Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada; onsite shift work

Salary: CAD $23.88–$41.79 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

hirify.global, through BIOVECTRA, develops and manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients and advanced therapeutics, including products based on microbial fermentation, synthetic small molecules, plasmid DNA, mRNA, LNP, and sterile filling.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain stationary equipment, including boilers, chillers, air compressors, HVAC systems, purified water systems, and tank farm utilities.
• Perform corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance on industrial process and research equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, respond to alarms and emergencies, and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Monitor system performance and maintain accurate operational, maintenance, repair, and power boiler permit logs.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, modifications, commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3rd or 4th Class Interprovincial Power Engineering Certificate in Nova Scotia required.
• Recent graduates from NSCC with a Power Engineering Technology diploma may be considered.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and on call as required.

Nice to have

• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of cGMP guidelines.
