Lead Technician (Wind Power)

Location: Office/site only in Castor, Alberta, Canada

What you will do

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities with the Site Operations Manager and supervise technician performance.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on Siemens Gamesa SG 4X turbines and related systems.
• Support outage planning, manpower coordination, tooling readiness, contractor oversight, commissioning, and performance optimization.
• Act as the primary site contact during assigned shifts and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review inspection, repair, NCR/NCC, work order, inventory, time, expense, and service documentation.
• Support customer communication, technician training, site housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and on-call emergency response.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of wind turbine experience, preferably with Siemens Gamesa platforms, or 3+ years of wind experience combined with a technical degree or certification.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Gamesa 4X turbine technology and electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control-system troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics; familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office, and turbine reporting systems.
• Previous leadership, crew lead, or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, work at heights, and perform safely in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license, passport, and visa required for travel for training and other duties.
