Aircraft Inspector IV - Deployable (Aerospace)

Location: Shalimar, Florida, United States. The role requires extended OCONUS/CONUS deployment on an approximate 60/60 rotation, a current valid passport, international travel visa eligibility, and the ability to meet deployed-location requirements.

What you will do

• Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections.
• Develop and implement inspection protocols and improve inspection processes.
• Document inspection findings accurately and address significant compliance issues.
• Lead training and mentorship for junior inspectors.
• Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes and determine product airworthiness after maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience and an active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, parts, inspection methods, and product audit procedures.
• Active Secret U.S. security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. export authorizations.
• Ability to work extended hours, holidays, and shifts; pass a pre-deployment medical assessment; and meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements.

Nice to have

• Understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1 and FAA Repair Station operations.
• FAA Inspection Authorization designation.
• Experience with first article inspections or aircraft modifications.
• Background in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
