Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Charleston International Airport, Charleston, South Carolina, United States; onsite aircraft maintenance role

Salary: $30.50–$37.00 per hour based on years of experience, plus a $2.00 shift differential for work between 9:00 PM and 7:30 AM.

What you will do

• Perform aircraft maintenance, preventative maintenance, alterations, troubleshooting, run-up and taxi procedures, and mechanical flight releases.
• Complete maintenance forms, documentation, inspection records, open-discrepancy updates, corrective actions, and OJT task cards accurately.
• Handle aircraft parts, assemblies, tooling, and equipment correctly while maintaining a safe, clean, and operational work area.
• Identify and report conditions that could compromise aircraft airworthiness to the Maintenance Supervisor and relevant personnel.
• Work in accordance with the Breeze General Maintenance Manual, FAA regulations, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance leadership, the Maintenance Operations Center, the Director of Maintenance, and other departments.

Requirements

• Current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License or Repairman Certificate, with no history of infractions and recent experience on commercial aircraft types.
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
• Authorization to work in the United States and a valid passport with no travel restrictions.
• Fluent English with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime; willingness to travel 20% of the time.
• Successful completion of DOT drug testing, TSA fingerprint-based criminal history checks, Breeze background screening, and SIDA badge requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FAA regulations, including FAR Part 121 operations.
• Experience with Embraer E-Jet or Airbus A220 aircraft.
• Experience with an airline Maintenance Information System such as TRAX.
• Degree in aerospace, aviation maintenance, or business.
