Aircraft Certifying Manager (2nd Shift) (Aerospace)

Location: 100% onsite in the Mobile Area, Alabama, United States. The role requires domestic and international travel of approximately 10% and may involve work on production floors, outside hangars, movable lifts, and at heights of approximately 40 feet.

What you will do

• Review, maintain, and validate aircraft conformity documentation, including component listings, functional test plans, certificates of conformance, engineering configuration statements, and technical and quality logbooks.
• Confirm that the as-built aircraft configuration matches the as-designed target configuration.
• Issue Aircraft Statements of Conformity and Transport Canada Export Airworthiness Certificates.
• Transmit certification and export documentation to Transport Canada and support FAA Designated Airworthiness Representatives with Certificates of Airworthiness.
• Investigate and resolve aircraft-level conformity discrepancies in coordination with engineering, manufacturing, production, quality, IT, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Represent the Conformity Department in meetings, maintain certification seals and stamps, and organize documentation supporting aircraft build and delivery.

Requirements

• Professional education in aeronautical maintenance or engineering, aviation technology, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in an aeronautical field, including 3 years of practical experience with Transport Canada airworthiness certification and FAA regulatory requirements.
• AME M2 or E license, or FAA A&P license.
• Knowledge of TCCA CAR 561, Production Organization Manuals, FAA and TCCA regulations, configuration management, aircraft systems, FAL production processes, and aerospace industry standards.
• Experience with conformity attestation, procedural or instructional documentation, problem-solving methods such as PPS and 5 Why, and managing large volumes of technical data.
• Authorized to work in the United States; proficient English communication is required, along with independent decision-making, integrity, impartiality, and the ability to work under pressure without compromising safety.
