Senior Software Engineer, Frontend – Super App (Applications)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; in-office five days per week

Annual base salary: $166,000–$216,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and maintain customer-facing SuperApp web surfaces, including browser-extension UIs, the Home Page, Life Events, and Government experiences.
• Develop contextual offer discovery, coupon and cashback detection, and in-page notification features.
• Integrate merchant, offer, and eligibility data through Shopping Graph and Developer Portal APIs.
• Extend the broader hirify.global Shop web experience as roadmap priorities evolve.
• Collaborate with Design and Product to deliver member-centered discovery and personalization interfaces.
• Maintain performance, accessibility, cross-browser reliability, and production support for shipped features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 4+ years of frontend engineering experience, or 2+ years with a master’s degree.
• Experience building or maintaining Chrome, Edge, or Firefox browser extensions, including content scripts, background or service workers, and Manifest V3.
• Production experience with React and Next.js.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, the DOM, browser behavior, and accessibility standards.
• Experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and optimizing lightweight or injected UI.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping native Web Components using Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, templates, slots, and events.
• Experience with micro-frontends, design systems, design tokens, theming, or scalable CSS.
• Experience building personalization, recommendation, e-commerce, marketplace, cashback, coupon, or offer-detection interfaces.
• Familiarity with identity, benefits, or credential-based access concepts.
• AI-native engineering practices, including code generation, test coverage, and documentation tooling.
