Mechanical Engineering Co-op

Location: Solon, Ohio, United States. Full-time, 8-month onsite co-op from January through August 2027; candidates must provide their own transportation and be authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future.

Salary: $25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Rotate through applications engineering, new product development, manufacturing engineering, and labs and product approvals.
• Perform engineering calculations, create 2D and 3D models, and maintain drawings, specifications, schematics, installation instructions, and test reports.
• Fabricate and evaluate product concepts and support design reviews, site visits, supplier visits, and customer-facing activities.
• Support manufacturing improvements, including routing and BOM updates, tooling, capital equipment, time studies, quality documentation, and inspection gauges.
• Develop test plans, assemble materials, conduct validation testing, and design or improve test fixtures using prototyping equipment.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices, including Kaizen, Gemba walks, 5S, TPM, and SMED projects.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate engineering degree; mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology is preferred.
• Currently enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Able to complete a full-time 8-month co-op in Solon, Ohio.
• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future.
• Analytical, creative, hands-on, professional, and able to take initiative and solve engineering problems.
