Distribution System Supervisor-Electric Utilities (Electric Utilities): Supervising the construction, maintenance, and operation of distribution systems to provide safe, timely, and reliable customer service with an accent on safety, regulatory compliance, budget control, and outage response. Focus on leading personnel, coordinating tools and equipment, maintaining system reliability, and directing service restoration during emergencies.
Location: Decatur, Indiana, United States. The role requires travel to various locations for extended periods of 1–5 days during the week, with occasional work in inclement weather and on uneven surfaces.
Salary: $116,255.00–$151,132.50 per year

What you will do
- Supervise the construction, maintenance, and operation of the electric distribution system.
- Provide leadership for a safe work environment and enforce safety and health programs.
- Manage personnel, resources, assets, tools, vehicles, equipment, and assigned budgets.
- Coordinate safe and timely service restoration during outages and major storms.
- Ensure employees are trained, knowledgeable, and focused on operational goals.
- Administer performance reviews and personnel actions, including recommendations for promotion, discipline, and dismissal.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 7 years of experience in distribution, construction, maintenance, and/or operations.
- Two years of supervisory experience in distribution activities or equivalent experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of distribution systems and acceptable written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to various locations for 1–5 days during the week and work occasionally in inclement weather and on uneven surfaces.
- Ability to use computer equipment and communicate by telephone, cell phone, and in meetings.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of distribution operations and/or utility experience.
- Associate’s degree with 5 years of distribution operations and/or utility experience.
- Commercial Driver’s License for emergency response and restoration activities.
