Senior Financial Market Business Analyst (Forex)

Location: Porto, hybrid work arrangement with up to 3 remote days per week. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Analyze financial market participants, products, and trading workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Translate front-office needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Investigate technical issues using Unix commands, log analysis, SQL queries, and Python scripts.
• Support the integration and enhancement of Forex and electronic trading platforms.
• Collaborate with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot complex challenges.
• Promote Agile principles while managing multiple tasks and leading initiatives independently.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in financial markets, trading systems, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial market participants and products, especially Forex and electronic trading.
• Proficiency in SQL and Unix commands, with experience troubleshooting scripts and technical issues.
• Technical aptitude and ability to develop Python solutions when needed.
• Fluent English and Portuguese, written and spoken.
• Existing legal right to work in the European Union is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python development and automation.
• Knowledge of financial regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Certifications in financial analysis or technical IT skills.
