Software Engineer, Credit Cycle (Payments)

Location: Remote, Brazil; candidates must be based in Brazil

What you will do

• Develop and review testable, efficient code across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Integrate systems through APIs, messaging queues, and relational and non-relational databases.
• Create unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests with a strong focus on automation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, package applications, and deploy them using containerization and orchestration tools.
• Monitor production applications, investigate incidents, analyze logs, and implement root-cause fixes.
• Optimize systems for performance, cost efficiency, security, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Must be based in Brazil.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or at least 3 years of professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with Java and/or Golang.
• Experience with financial services or payments, advanced Git usage, code reviews, API documentation, and automated testing.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, Argo, Jenkins, Codefresh or comparable CI/CD tools, scalable microservices, data modeling, and distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience working with critical systems.
• Understanding of observability practices, including monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
