Software Engineer – Go/Golang Backend & Distributed Systems (Cybersecurity): Building scalable backend services, APIs, integrations, and event-driven data pipelines for a cybersecurity platform processing high-volume security data, with an accent on Go, PostgreSQL, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on designing fault-tolerant multi-tenant systems, integrating 100+ enterprise platforms, optimizing data pipelines and database performance, and improving observability and reliability.
Location: Remote from Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, or Argentina; availability during U.S. business hours

is hiring for a client building a modern cybersecurity platform for high-volume security data processing, enterprise integrations, and AI-powered security workflows.
What you will do
- Build and maintain production backend services and scalable REST APIs primarily with Go.
- Design and operate microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and enrichment.
- Develop and maintain integrations with more than 100 enterprise systems using REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, retries, and fault-tolerance mechanisms.
- Design multi-tenant PostgreSQL data models, optimize queries and indexes, and maintain data integrity at scale.
- Deploy and operate cloud services, with GCP preferred, while improving monitoring, logging, observability, reliability, and performance.
- Participate in architecture decisions and contribute to AI-powered security and automation workflows.
Requirements
- Strong professional backend software engineering experience building production APIs and distributed systems.
- Professional Go/Golang experience, or strong experience with Python, Java, or TypeScript and willingness to transition to Go.
- Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, asynchronous processing, database design, and optimization.
- Availability during U.S. business hours and residence in Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, or Argentina.
Nice to have
- Experience with OAuth, message queues, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, or high-volume data pipelines.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture, cybersecurity, SIEM, IAM, or endpoint security platforms.
- Experience with AI/LLM-powered applications, startup environments, or high-growth engineering teams.
