Senior Software Engineer (Antifraud)

Location: Remote, Brazil; candidates must be based in Brazil

hirify.global is a global payments technology company facilitating transactions among consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and governments.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain antifraud applications using Golang or Java and clean software engineering practices.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure microservices for transaction monitoring, fraud verification, and payment-related calculations.
• Build and evolve AWS infrastructure with Terraform using services including SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge.
• Write unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests and monitor application health with metrics, logs, alerts, and tracing.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams on technical solutions, architecture, feature planning, and impact analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be based in Brazil.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree, or at least 2 years with an advanced degree.
• 3+ years of Golang experience and adaptability to Java, Groovy, or other JVM-related languages.
• Experience in the financial industry, payments, or authorization systems.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Terraform, microservices, relational and non-relational database design, API documentation, Git, and distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience working with critical systems.
• Understanding of observability practices, including monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
