Structural Designer II

What you will do

• Develop conceptual structural models from engineer direction and rough sketches.
• Prepare structural construction documents, including standard notes and details.
• Manage engineer redlines and take ownership of assigned structural scope.
• Check work for quality, coordinate with related disciplines, and prevent design clashes.
• Work with development, architecture, construction, engineering, and consultant teams on industrial projects.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to entry-level designers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or a similar technical field, or 3+ years of experience using BIM software.
• 2–5 years of experience in an operating company or design firm.
• Strong proficiency with Autodesk Revit Structure and 3D architectural or structural modeling.
• Knowledge of construction document development, structural standards, and project delivery processes.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and coordinate with engineers, consultants, and other disciplines.
• Attention to detail, quality focus, self-motivation, and a collaborative attitude.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Navisworks.
• Experience mentoring junior designers.
