Principal IT Security Project Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote - NOAM

Annual base salary: $144,000–$170,000, plus an annual target bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Lead complex, enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs from planning through completion.
• Direct cross-functional initiatives involving software hardening, identity management, cloud security, and zero-trust implementations.
• Identify project risks, track vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation plans to protect business assets.
• Communicate project progress, budgets, and security metrics to executive leadership and technical teams.
• Manage solution-planning calls, team workloads, resource allocation, and budget needs.
• Ensure project milestones align with applicable SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT project management experience, including at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity or information security.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or a related field.
• PMP certification and a security credential such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
• Deep knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, threat intelligence, and security frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong communication skills for translating technical security risks into business language and working with executives and engineers.
