Network Infrastructure Project Engineer II (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; primarily office or hybrid. Occasional travel to customer or field locations may be required.

Salary: $165,010.21–$226,889.04 estimated starting annual range.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and execute complex hardware integration activities across mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering disciplines.
• Develop project plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, budgets, earned-value reports, and corrective action plans.
• Lead rack and stack architecture, cabling, power, cooling, physical interconnect design, endpoint buildouts, server infrastructure, networking equipment, and embedded hardware bring-up.
• Create and maintain interface control documents, integration procedures, verification test plans, configuration baselines, and requirements traceability artifacts.
• Lead integration readiness reviews, hardware acceptance testing, system verification events, and program reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR.
• Manage hardware risks, resolve integration issues, coordinate customer interfaces, and implement lessons learned and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or project lead role.
• Hands-on experience integrating servers, embedded systems, networking equipment, or laboratory infrastructure.
• Experience with integration procedures, interface control documentation, hardware verification test plans, formal requirements management tools, and configuration management processes.
• Experience with project scheduling tools, cost and schedule baseline tracking, systems engineering lifecycles, and multidisciplinary development teams.
• Current/active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Project leadership or program management experience in an engineering-intensive environment.
• Aerospace and defense hardware development experience.
• Experience with rack-mount servers, high-density compute clusters, GPU infrastructure, ruggedized electronics, or power and thermal analysis.
• INCOSE CSEP/ASEP or PMP certification.
• Experience with trade studies, analysis of alternatives, technical proposals, estimates, and complex hardware baseline maturation.
