Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California. hirify.global also has in-person offices in London and Bangalore. Visa sponsorship support is available on a case-by-case basis.

Salary: $250K–$375K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build alongside product engineers and contribute directly to product and technical work, initially embedding with the Voices squad.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers through coaching, feedback, career development, and high standards for engineering craft.
• Partner with Product and Design to define direction, make technical and product tradeoffs, and ship customer-facing experiences.
• Hire exceptional product engineers through sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates.
• Establish a predictable execution cadence while preserving team speed and quality.
• Own cross-cutting product surfaces such as billing, files, team rotations, and operational health.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product engineering experience, including leading or managing engineers.
• Strong current technical ability in architecture, design reviews, debugging, code review, and production-quality development.
• Experience building polished, customer-facing product surfaces and making effective product engineering judgments.
• Experience coaching engineers, managing performance, expanding individual scope, and leading through context and contribution.
• Strong collaboration skills with Product and Design, including setting direction and making difficult tradeoffs.
• Genuine interest in voice AI and building product layers on top of advanced models.

Nice to have

• Experience with developer tools, AI infrastructure, or products for technical users.
• Experience growing a product engineering team from approximately 5 to 15 engineers while remaining hands-on.
• Experience with product-led growth, self-serve growth, billing, or other end-to-end product surfaces.
