Portfolio Manager - CASA 3 (Climate)

What you will do

• Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the CASA portfolio and maintain relationships with government clients, technical partners, consortium members, and other stakeholders.
• Lead work planning, mobilisation, partner onboarding, governance, milestone tracking, reporting, and decision logging.
• Identify delivery risks, issues, and dependencies, and drive practical mitigation actions.
• Coordinate technical, operational, financial, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning inputs across partner organisations.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, expenditure tracking, contracts, procurement, grant disbursement, and value-for-money decisions.
• Maintain audit-ready records and compliance with programme procedures, due diligence requirements, and internal controls.

Requirements

• Strong academic background or equivalent experience in climate change, international development, climate negotiations, climate governance, public policy, programme management, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing complex donor-funded programmes or portfolios, preferably in climate, environment, governance, or technical assistance.
• Strong project and portfolio management skills, including mobilisation, work planning, milestone tracking, delivery oversight, risk management, and adaptive management.
• Experience coordinating partners, consultants, or downstream delivery organisations, including onboarding, contracting, procurement, and performance tracking.
• Strong financial and commercial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, expenditure tracking, value for money, and compliance oversight.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and availability for a hybrid role based in London.
