Associate Director, Market Strategy Advisory (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote/work-from-home; must reside in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Base pay: $163,944–$215,177 per year in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington; $147,550–$193,659 per year in all other locations.

What you will do

• Develop market strategies supporting growth, retention, performance improvement, and multi-year strategic planning.
• Analyze market dynamics, competitive positioning, regulatory factors, product receptivity, market sizing, and competitor landscapes.
• Support market entry and expansion business cases with finance, sales, growth, network, and market leadership.
• Evaluate product and market performance and recommend portfolio, plan positioning, and market-specific improvements.
• Analyze member segments, partnerships, and innovation opportunities with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Translate internal, market, and competitive intelligence into executive-ready materials and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 8+ years of experience in healthcare, consulting, strategy, or ACA/IFP product roles.
• Experience in market analysis, performance evaluation, growth strategy, business cases, and recommendations.
• Experience partnering with market and product leadership.
• Must reside in one of the listed U.S. states.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Master of Business Administration or equivalent.
• Experience with ACA, IFP, market entry, portfolio optimization, or provider/network strategy.
• Experience supporting senior leadership decision-making.
• Exposure to value-based care, partnerships, or healthcare ecosystem strategy.
