AV Field Technician I

Location: Torrance, California, United States; in-field, onsite work

Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour; full-time

What you will do

• Pull and terminate A/V cables and connections.
• Install commercial audio-video systems and control systems using Crestron, Extron, AMX, and related products.
• Install videoconferencing systems from Polycom, Cisco, LifeSize, and other manufacturers.
• Install displays, speakers, screens, and projectors.
• Read basic AV engineering drawings and maintain cleanliness and safety on site.
• Work alongside other technicians and follow direction from the Site Lead or Superintendent.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience installing commercial AV systems.
• Experience running and terminating different types of cables and connections.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read basic AV engineering drawings and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to accommodate a 6-foot ladder are required. Basic hand tools are also required.

Nice to have

• CTS, Crestron, Extron, or AMX certifications.
• Experience installing videoconferencing systems.
