Manager I, Engineering - Code Intelligence (AI)

Location: New York, New York, USA; hybrid workplace

Salary: $192,000–$240,000 USD yearly, plus equity and possible variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and develop an engineering team, set technical direction, and establish standards for ownership and execution.
• Own the roadmap for source-code indexing, pull-request agentic reviewers, code-writing agents, and closed-loop feedback and evaluation systems.
• Set product strategy independently while partnering with product teams and customers.
• Build and operate scaled LLM and agent software, including LLM APIs, agent frameworks, tool-use layers, prompt tooling, and evaluation systems.
• Translate customer and stakeholder needs into technical direction and improve agent safety, validation, and autonomy.

Requirements

• Experience as an engineering manager shipping products with direct customer interaction.
• Hands-on experience building scaled LLM software, agent frameworks, prompt and evaluation tooling, tool-use systems, and LLM-as-judge workflows.
• Strong product and customer mindset with the ability to solve problems and iterate quickly.
• Ability to define product strategy in an ambiguous environment without a predefined roadmap.
• SDLC and developer-tooling experience is useful but not required.
