Head of People Strategy & Operations (Healthtech)

Location: New York City only; in-person work approximately 3 days per week at the Gramercy office, with some remote flexibility

What you will do

• Lead the People Strategy & Operations function and build the team as the organization scales.
• Own organizational design, workforce planning, hiring, the people technology stack, budgets, vendors, and critical function metrics.
• Develop and execute the People strategy across talent density, employee upskilling, manager enablement, retention, performance management, and culture.
• Design scalable processes, tools, decision-making cadences, and operating systems for the People team and cross-functional groups.
• Optimize People Operations through automation, technology, and process redesign.
• Partner with executives and department heads to improve team performance and act as a trusted People advisor.

Requirements

• NYC-based availability and willingness to work in person approximately 3 days per week
• 7–10 years of experience combining strategy work and startup experience; direct People and Talent experience is preferred.
• Strong people instincts, communication skills, and ability to influence Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders.
• Strategic, data-driven, first-principles approach to solving complex problems.
• Operational excellence, strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Collaborative approach and experience working across departments in undefined or rapidly changing environments.
