Senior People Business Partner

Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, California, with 3 days per week required at the Mountain View headquarters

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders on organizational design, talent planning, team effectiveness, and workforce decisions.
• Coach managers on performance, feedback, career development, difficult conversations, and day-to-day management practices.
• Support compensation and equity planning, including reviews, allocation decisions, internal consistency, and standardization.
• Use people data and business context to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to retention, performance, engagement, and talent.
• Develop retention strategies, build scalable people processes, and improve decision-making and manager effectiveness.
• Work with People, Finance, Legal, Talent, and business teams while handling sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Experience supporting senior leaders in a high-growth, fast-paced, or midsize startup environment.
• Experience with compensation, equity, performance, retention, talent management, and employee relations.
• Experience with HR tools, automation, and AI, including building self-service resources and automating repeatable work.
• Strong manager coaching, communication, judgment, influencing, organizational, and project planning skills.
• Ability to operate independently, work across functions, and own ambiguous problems through resolution.
