Senior Engineer, Electrical Engineering R&D (Semiconductor)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite at the i2M Bedford facility

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year, based on skills and experience

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and performance evaluation of electrostatic chucks for OEM applications.
• Conduct research, electrical-field modeling, prototyping, testing, and data analysis.
• Define test parameters, specifications, and performance criteria for product reliability and feasibility.
• Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigations to improve product performance.
• Manage new product and technology development projects, including goals, risks, timelines, and success criteria.
• Select and qualify test equipment, including MSA and engineering validation, while collaborating cross-functionally on technical deliverables.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in R&D or product development in a technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of electrostatics, electrical circuits, insulation systems, and high-voltage systems up to 20 kV.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing electrical systems.
• Experience with electrical-field modeling tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, MATLAB, or SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, DOE, FMEA, MSA, statistical analysis, and quality methodologies.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global immigration sponsorship; H-1B, TN, and STEM OPT sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Experience with semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment.
