Senior Engineer - Design - Electrification

Location: Mossville, Illinois; facility in Chillicothe, Illinois. Onsite five days a week with up to 10% domestic travel; no telecommuting.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Conceive, design, and develop complex electrification and engineering projects.
• Lead design, analysis, computer simulation, feasibility studies, and development planning.
• Coordinate engineering work across plant locations and multiple engineering departments.
• Evaluate competitive products, coordinate prototype builds and product testing, and assess major systems.
• Guide engineers responsible for parts of the product project and ensure development schedules are met.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, and field problems with test teams, suppliers, consultants, plants, dealerships, and customers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related occupation.
• Experience using AutoCAD or Bluebeam for schematics and MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTspice, or PSIM for circuit simulation.
• Experience designing and developing DC-DC, AC-DC, and DC-AC converters for high-efficiency and high-reliability applications, including converter architectures up to 1.5 kV.
• Experience selecting and evaluating IGBTs, MOSFETs, and SiC/GaN power semiconductor devices, with knowledge of NEC, EPA, SAE J1995, OSHA, IEC, RoHS, and UL standards.
• Experience with rectifiers, dry or wet transformers, or NMC/LFP batteries, plus PVsyst or ETAP for incident and short-circuit analysis.
