Solutions Architect (Claims Transformation)

Location: Atlanta or Boston, United States; hybrid with two days in the office each week

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Design, govern, and evolve end-to-end technology solutions across underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, and distribution.
• Own architecture strategies and designs for complex claims transformation programs, presenting options, risks, and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Create and maintain current-state, transformation, and target-state architecture artifacts and defend them before architecture review boards.
• Align architecture artifacts with existing implementations and assess the impact of changes on current and future systems.
• Support integrations between core claims platforms and downstream systems such as reporting, document production, and finance.
• Engage with delivery teams across Java, Microsoft .NET, relational databases, webMethods, and Apigee.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in solution, systems, or enterprise architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in insurance technology, including leading claims platforms and core insurance platforms.
• Strong knowledge of P&C or commercial insurance operations, including policy lifecycle, claims, and billing.
• Practical experience applying architecture principles and managing architecture across multiple change projects in complex environments.
• Strong software engineering or lead developer background, analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience in Agile development environments.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, organization, and time-management skills.
