Senior Solution Architect (Telecom-Global)

Location: Remote, with occasional in-person attendance at work-related events; Chicago, Illinois

Salary: $168,750–$281,250 annually

What you will do

• Advise telecommunications carriers and enterprise customers on technical strategy and solution adoption.
• Design carrier-grade solutions across messaging, voice, identity, and fraud prevention.
• Translate customer requirements and Voice of Customer insights into scalable product enhancements and roadmap recommendations.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, solution workshops, and customer-facing presentations.
• Prepare RFI/RFP responses, solution proposals, business cases, white papers, and technical documentation.
• Bridge customer technology teams with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success to support implementation and growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems design, consulting, or technical solutioning within telecommunications.
• Deep expertise in messaging, voice communications, signaling, network infrastructure, carrier environments, and related protocols.
• Experience designing API-driven solutions with REST APIs and JSON, and working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, containerized applications, and public, private, and on-premises environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for working with architects, engineers, product leaders, and executives.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Bandwidth, or similar telecommunications providers.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployment technologies.
• Familiarity with GSMA, ATIS, 3GPP, IETF, STIR/SHAKEN, and SIP.
• Experience creating technical white papers, solution designs, customer presentations, and reusable architecture artifacts.
