Sheet Metal Assembler (Manufacturing)

Location: Fontana, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $18.59–$25.10 per hour

What you will do

• Review blueprints, diagrams, drawings, procedures, and work instructions for enclosure building assemblies.
• Assemble sheet metal panels for enclosure doors, walls, roofs, and trusses.
• Use power tools and hand tools, including drills, impact drivers, screwdrivers, and grinders.
• Perform quality checks, identify defects, and record and report nonconformities.
• Maintain workstation inventory, tools, parts, and a clean and safe production area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior assembly experience.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, engineering diagrams, and written instructions.
• Basic math, measurement, tool-use, manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety knowledge.
• Ability to safely operate powered equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, scissor lifts, or overhead cranes.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, perform repetitive tasks, and lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds; PPE is required on the production floor.
