Startup Founder (3D Printing)

Location: Somerville, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role

Base pay: $120,000–$250,000 per year, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, location, and expected impact.

hirify.global develops 3D printing tools and technologies for product design, prototyping, manufacturing, and medical applications.

What you will do

• Identify, develop, and scale new product lines and ventures within hirify.global.
• Create and lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, operators, and designers; hire and mentor future leaders.
• Build complex electro-mechanical robotic products and explore new technologies, applications, and market opportunities.
• Make high-stakes decisions affecting core technology and business direction.
• Work across engineering, sales, manufacturing, marketing, hardware, software, and materials science.
• Drive ventures through the full product lifecycle, from R&D to global-scale shipping.

Requirements

• Technical background, typically including an engineering degree or equivalent hands-on building experience.
• Experience building a business or significant technology venture, ideally in a startup environment.
• Direct experience creating multidisciplinary technology products from ideation through scale.
• Ability to take ownership, operate in ambiguity, make decisive choices, and deliver results.
• Experience hiring and leading teams in a demanding, fast-changing environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Somerville, Massachusetts, United States.

Nice to have

• Background in robotics, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• MBA or consulting experience.
• Experience with manufacturing, regulatory, or product standards and compliance in healthcare, pharma, or life sciences.
• Experience with 3D printing technologies and materials.
• Familiarity with Tableau or SQL.
